Digital Projects

On this page, I highlight my public-facing digital history projects. I use new technologies like GIS and other web tools (for timelines) to create interactive content that engages learners from diverse backgrounds. The skills and techniques that I employ help me bring history to life, making it an accessible and engaging subject for everyone. By using creative formats and modern storytelling techniques, I aim to bring the value of histroy to larger audiences.

In this Project, I highlight explore the theories which are often called together as 'new materialism'. Following that, I highlight how this theory can help shape a new kind of environmental history - a way of history which de-centers the humans from the narratives of environmental history.

I highlight the major changes that occurred during this period, based on environmental history datasets. My goal is to provide a comprehensive understanding of agricultural expansion in South Asia and how it impacted society and the environment. This can be a first step to ask more questions about the various changes in agriculture based on the interactive maps.

In this Tableau Visualisaton, I have compiled the data from K.N. Chaudhuri and H.V. Bowen's work on East India Company (EIC). It is a visulisation that could help the historians to ask the questions about changes in EIC's trade over all the available data.

On this page you can find the cleaned data about the trading activities of East India Company from 1660-1760. This is based on K. N. Chaudhari's The Trading World of Asia and the English East India Company (1976).
